The life span of these lenses amounts to two to five years.
Switch (hydrophilic) lenses adapt to the cornea/callosity surface outstanding. Foreign body feeling is from the beginning almost impossible from there with these lenses. However there are some kinds of defective visions, for which a correction with this kind of lens is unsuitable. Cornea/callosity curvatures become balanced with hard contact contacts or special soft (torische) contact contacts. The life span of these lenses is with one until maximally two years. Additionally there are exchange contact contacts. Depending upon material the patient gets regularly new contact contacts. The most usual exchange times are at four weeks.
Alterssichtigkeit: Bad correction results
For agefarsighted humans contact contacts are less suitable. After experience of opticians the correction results are still unsatisfactory. Also humans with recurring cornea/callosity and connection skin inflammations or dry eyes should leave the fingers of contact contacts. With increased augend jerk the invisible lenses can be even risky. By the friction of the lens at the cornea/callosity surface the danger of an irreversible deformation of the cornea/callosity front surface (Pseudokeratokonus) exists.
The lens can obstruct also the tear liquid before the cornea/callosity front surface. Possible consequences: Collapse of the Hornhautstoffwechsels by oxygen deficiency or a cornea/callosity edema, which can limit the Sehfunktion and the stretcher comfort in the long term substantially. The adjustment of contact contacts should always make an optician.
Dollar character in the eye
Who wants to surprise its friends and acquaintance with dollar characters in the eye, can as Gag Fun lenses so called add itself. But caution: Farbpigmente can be out-washed by the tear film. Unpleasant consequence: Cornea/callosity inflammation. Such lenses should be carried from there only for specific occasions at short notice.
Lenses daily clean
Contact contacts must be thoroughly maintained daily, so that it does not come to infections in the eyes. Necessary accessories: Disinfectant, solutions and storage liquids. At night one should take the small Sehhilfen from the eyes. It is, one for special lasting rising up lenses decided. They can swim up to four weeks incessantly in the tear film.
